Artist's Comments

A character I'm working on for a comic. He's a modernized Archangel and I wanted to give him a look of superiority: wearing light-coloured formal, yet defining, clothing and holding a confident smirk on his face.

Hey there, Cirker, this is Jimmie, the author of the story you're drawing for. Man, does that look impressive. :)

Not sure I'm crazy about the jacket, though. Perhaps something a bit more business like...like a double breasted jacket. Or something Neo-ish (as in flowy wint a structured top). I dunno.

Other than that, you nailed the look of him as if you were reading my mind. The face and hair are perfect (along with his better-than-you smile).

I can't wait to see what you do with the others.

Oh hey Jimmie, thanks a lot. I'll toy around with different looks for the characters once things start coming around. It's been going kind of slow so far. I wanted to ask if you needed colour in these drawings, or does somebody else take care of that? I don't know much about comic art.
And what do you think I should do with the other characters to make them look as convincing as possible to you? Like what kind of clothes to you have in mind for them etc.

If you wanted to color them, feel free. There really isn't a colorist I have or know of (the draw backs of being a very small production). Though B&W could work too. I'm not stressed over colors for this.

As for the fashion of the others...well, I think Ben would dress pretty comfortably. I see him as a jeans and t-shirt person (perhaps an untucked button up shirt). Charlie probably fits the same mold...though he would probably lean more towards the name brand (American Eagle, GAP...or to a lesser extent, Old Navy) kind of style.

I still keep staring at the archangel's face. Again you made him exactly how I pictured him. So much so I want to punch him in the face.
